Phase One

A Quiet Case

Welcome to Phase One

The Skin Well® project began with a quiet question:
Why isn’t skin included in our national conversation about health?

From that starting point, three core ideas emerged:
• That skin should be included in public health messaging
• That the Department of Health and Social Care should oversee training and standards for those working with skin
• That qualified skin therapists deserve regulatory recognition for the vital work they do

These early scenarios and open letters weren’t written to shout.
They were created to gently open a conversation—to invite reflection, and to offer something solid to return to as the dialogue around skin evolves.

From here, you’re welcome to explore the foundations that Phase Two—and now Phase Three—continue to build on:

 The Skin Well®
